At the conclusion of this conference the participants will be able to:

  • Identify gaps in the GHSA and what is needed to address them.

  • Recognize the role of the health community in formulating proactive responses to pandemics to avoid the pitfalls endured by Covid-19.

  • Discuss methods of controlling and efficiently treating non-communicable diseases in their communities and identify the environmental drivers exacerbating NCDs.

  • Describe how the relationship between climate change, biodiversity losses, and human well-being impact each other.

  • Describe the interplay of international regulations, cooperation, trade agreements, and laws in preventing corruption and illicit money flows.

  • Describe and implement various decolonizing approaches in global health and understand the importance of social accountability and interdisciplinary partnerships in promoting equitable health goals.

  • Identify the effect of inadequate infrastructure and human resources on the digital divide affecting healthcare accessibility.

  • Learn about building effective intersectoral partnerships with political entities in formulating local, national, and international policies that bridge research to implementation gap that can improve the social determinants of health.
