During this highly participatory session, participants will learn best practices in measuring population perspective on health system performance. The session will be oriented around the People’s Voice Survey, a new tool recently fielded in 19 high-, middle-, and low-income countries to gauge perceptions of health care quality and population confidence in the health system. During the first portion of the session, participants will learn key findings from the first set of analyses emerging from this effort, interpret these findings, and identify implications for policy in discussion with researchers from the multi-national collaborative that developed and implemented the survey. In the second portion, participants will get hands-on experiencing with large-scale health system survey implementation: Guided by the survey team, participants will practice adapting a segment of the survey for a test country, administering select survey questions, and developing key indicators and headline findings for health system stakeholders.
